Bonny Jean is a young emerging singer/songwriter. At just 15 years old, she is already a seasoned vocalist, with a quality far beyond her years. She received 5 years of vocal instruction through her church choir, where she also provided accompaniment with guitar, flute, bongos and tambourine. Currently, she is a member of a select group of vocalists at her high school, and plays the sousaphone in the marching and symphonic bands, all under the direction of her teacher and mentor, Michael Mayes. Bonny Jean has been playing guitar for several years and is now studying under Janet Robin. In addition to the afore mentioned instruments, she also plays baritone, piccolo and recently picked up the bass fiddle, her current favorite, while striving toward proficiency with all. Bonny Jean has performed at various venues in California, independently and as a featured vocalist. She enjoys most music genre, and does not limit herself to a particular style. Bonny Jean has four songs under copyright, and is presently laying down tracks for an EP of her originals she hopes to have completed by the end of the year.
